Rules of Engagement; A Primer For "Civilians"

On Tuesday the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments as to whether Border Patrolman Jesus Mesa, Jr. could be held civilly or criminally liable for the shooting of a 16 year old Mexican at the U.S.-Mexican border in El Paso.

You can read the headlines from the liberal mainstream media and you might say "how cruel of that Border Patrolman!

Or you might actually read the actual report, or actually watch the incident on U-Tube.

What you will see is BP Mesa trying to stop a group of Mexicans making a run for the U.S. border.  The incident takes place in a border culvert and, as Agent Mesa descended into the culvert, he nabs one of the crossers.  Two more run away, then turn and begin throwing rocks at Agent Mesa.  While physically trying to hang on to one of the crossers, and dodge rocks, Agent Mesa fires his weapon and kills the 16 year old Mexican.

What the liberal media and the open borders advocates won't tell you is that the Mexican killed was a serial human smuggler, having been caught four times in the U.S., then returned to his native Mexico.

And the media won't be able to describe what it's like to be in a perilous situation and have to make life and death decisions.  Cops know it.  Military folks know it.  But the average Joe has no idea what it's like to have to make those kinds of decisions.

This is the classic case of "walk a mile in my shoes".  While this incident is tragic for everyone involved, no one, whether in the military, or on duty on our nation's borders, should be penalized for following the Rules of Engagement.

The real villains here are the open borders folks and the politicians who have created an environment where Mexicans believe they have the god-given right to cross our border...and taunt our Border Patrol, and laugh at our immigration laws.

If you don't agree with that....."walk a mile".

Break one law, it's easy. Then the next one is easier and so on and on. Now we all get to pick and choose what laws pertain to us and to h*&% with the rest. Will we ever have a country again?

Choosing the laws they want to follow has been evolving for a while now, Jeff. Then selective law-breaking went on steroids when Obama chose to pick and choose which laws he would enforce. Sad.

Does this mean I won't have to stop at red lights anymore? If so, I'm all for it. A Nation of Laws? Balderdash, I say!! Think of all the wonderful chaos there would be if we Citizens didn't have to follow the rules. Accidents, traffic jams, drugs available everywhere. Why it would be pure Heaven! That's it Liberals. Break down the fabric of our Society. We'll progress back to the Caveman era in no time. Bopping Women in the head with sticks and raping them. Killing Homosexuals. Yeh. Then we'd all be Muslim. I say, give the guy a medal.Saved us thousands of dollars in future Immigration fees.
