Let Me Solve The Great Unemployment Rate Hoax For You

Are any of you puzzled about why you're not feeling great about the latest U.S. Unemployment Report?  After all, the latest unemployment numbers came in at 4.6 percent.  Ain't that wonderful?

And how can that 4.6 percent unemployment rate be true?  With 93 million people out of the work force how can we be experiencing such low unemployment numbers?

Simple.  It's the way the Obama Administration runs the numbers.  Let me give you an extremely simplified example of how you can skew the job numbers:

1)  Let's assume 10 people have the bubonic plague.

2)  Eight people die and only two survive.

3)  The "survival rate" for bubonic plague is obviously only 20%, right?

4) Wrong.  You just throw out the eight dead people from your calculations , and just use the two survivors as calculating factors, and all of a sudden you've got a 100% survival rate for the Bubonic Plague!  Ain't that great!

Well, folks, that's your "Lying With Statistics" lesson for today.  You can indeed achieve a 4.6 unemployment rate, as long as you don't count the 93 million who have given up even trying to find a job.

You're welcome.

Then the question becomes, has it always been calculated this way, or is it unique to Obama?

I'm probably being too hard on the "Emperor", Frank, except that the large difference between Obama and his predecessors was that Obama has encouraged sloth throughout his tenure.......made it easier to write off bad mortgages, write off bad student loan debt (and even impossible for the well intentioned, who might actually pay off their loans..if they actually had a job more well paying than fast food work), preached that collecting food stamps and raiding food banks was perfectly okay. That's made it far easier on many of those 93 million who abandoned the work force.

Sounds like just another way for the Liberals to keep Voters in their clutches. They haven't quite got over the top(where they would be in power for a good long time), yet but they are working hard on it. Hillary would have been the capper. She would have brought in enough "guaranteed Democrat Votes" to make it virtually impossible for a Republican to win the Presidency again. I find that the single most important point in the Trump win. Looks like you can fool the Fools in the big Cities(LA, SF, NY, Wash etc) but you can't fool the Country Folk. Thank God the South stayed strong. I have a new found respect for those people. They saved our Country from almost certain disaster. The plan was for Hillary to win and bring millions of people here to be put into places where the voting is close. In 4 years, an easy win. The Governor of Texas knows that and was taking steps to keep it from happening in his State. He also realized the danger the plan presented. The SOUTH has risen. Thank you.

This is four years old, but it explains how the BO boys get their numbers (http://www.factcheck.org/2012/02/whats-the-real-jobless-rate/). Additionally, when government uses the term "jobs", understand they are not differentiating between full-time and part-time any longer (40 years ago, they did). Remember, when the Dims created the ACA back in 2008, they intentionally used the 30-hour/week figure to denote "full time" since so many workers were no longer getting 40 hours per week (https://www.thebalance.com/how-many-hours-a-week-is-full-time-employment-2063404). Great article for those that still care about the truth. Lord knows you won't get it from DC.

Thanks for the reference, Randy. Re, the 30 hour week, the Dims have been trying mightily to emulate France in that regard. Beside, if we went back to 40 hour weeks that's fewer jobs for the 30 million illegal Mexicans.
