I made the comment that China was still Communist, bent on world domination. He scoffed and replied that China was more capitalist than the U.S. I informed him that wasn't true; they had just picked the appropriate weapon to subjugate us. Of course when I asked if he had ever read "The Art of War" or Machiavelli, the reply was no. I suggested he do so in that he may gain a little more understanding of actual political motivations and power mongering. His response was that I didn't understand modern society, and that ancient history has nothing to do with today. Of course I replied "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it, and humans are humans,then and now.", shook my head at the 4-year college educated (Auburn) American, and no longer wondered why we are losing this war of politics and economics.grenadavetnoreply@blogger.com
